This page explains, in plain language, what information innerinfluencing.ca collects, what it does with it, and what rights you have under Canadian privacy law. We’ve tried to write it the way you’d actually want to read it.
1. Who we are
Inner Influencing International (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the website at innerinfluencing.ca, a Canadian companion site to innerinfluencing.com. Anita Colussi-Zanon is the Director of Inner Influencing Canada and the author of the editorial content on the site.
2. What we collect
2a. Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard server logs for every visit: IP address, browser type, the pages requested, timestamps, and HTTP status codes. This is normal for any website and is used to keep the site running, troubleshoot errors, and protect against abuse.
2b. Analytics
We use a self-hosted analytics tool to record anonymous, aggregate information about how the site is used (pages viewed, referrer, time on page).
2c. Contact form submissions
When you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide so we can reply to you.
3. What we do with it
Server logs and analytics data are used to operate the site, understand which articles are useful, fix problems, and protect against abuse. Contact form submissions are used to respond to your message and, if your message starts a real conversation, to continue that conversation.
4. The Discovery Kit and innerinfluencing.com
If you click through to the Inner Influencing Discovery Kit and opt in there, your email is handled under the privacy policy of innerinfluencing.com, not this one. We don’t receive a copy of your Discovery Kit opt-in details from Inner Influencing International, though they may share aggregate counts of Canadian signups.
5. Your rights under Canadian privacy law
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and any applicable provincial privacy law, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct or update it;
- Ask us to delete it (where we’re not legally required to keep it).
To exercise any of these, write to info@innerinfluencing.ca or use the contact form. We’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe (usually a week or less).
6. Security
No website is perfectly secure. We use industry-standard precautions to keep the site and any information you submit reasonably secure (HTTPS in transit, restricted access on the server, no unnecessary data collection).
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent change. Substantive changes will be flagged on the site for a reasonable period.
8. Contact
Questions, requests, or concerns about your privacy? Reach out to info@innerinfluencing.ca or use the contact form. A real person will read it.
